The family home is a source of great comfort for parents and children alike. However, as the family ages, elderly parents are often challenged by unintended hazards in the home. Here are some thoughts on how to spot these hazards along with low-cost suggestions for correction.

Since videos are very effective in presenting real-life situations, this post features three videos that “hit home” on this topic.

 

 

The only suggestion I would make regarding Darren’s comments on towel bars in the above video is to use them for “towels only”, as mentioned in the first video. Grab bars are much safer.
